About THE PROJECT
RESPONSIBLE COMMUNITY FOCUSED GROWTH
For decades, Lyon Village residents have spent countless hours growing and maintaining our neighborhood. While real estate development is a healthy part of an economy and our neighborhood, the neighborhood should have a larger say in the progress.
With that goal in mind, the Lyon Village Redevelopment Project was formed for the purposes of giving Lyon Village residents control of the development of our neighborhood by allowing residents to manage these projects and keep profits within the community.
THE Neighborhood
HISTORIC LYON VILLAGE
Lyon Village is one of Arlington’s most established residential neighborhoods, developed primarily in the 1920s after real estate developer Frank Lyon purchased and subdivided the former Cruit estate. Designed with tree-lined streets, landscaped circles, and a community park, the neighborhood grew with a mix of Colonial Revival, Tudor, Craftsman, bungalow, and other early 20th-century architectural styles. Its historic character and role in Arlington’s suburban growth led to its listing on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.
